Lindsay Ell talks about her writing process, mid-gig thoughts and John Mayer's Continuum!
Hello! There were a couple of artists at C2C on the pop up stages and satellite stages that everyone was talking about. They stole the show away from the big stars such as Tim and Faith, Emmylou and Little Big Town. Those two artists were Ashley McBryde and Lindsay Ell. Wherever you went, every ten seconds you would over hear a conversation about how amazing those artists were, and in the aftermath of the weekend social media was buzzing with excitement, again over those two

Sarah Darling live at the Night and Day Cafe, Manchester
US Country Singer Songwriter Sarah Darling has become somewhat of a favourite amongst British Country fans who consistently turn out in their droves to see her perform up and down the Country. She is one of those artists along with the likes of Jenn Bostic and Sonia Leigh who make the effort to come over to the UK multiple times a year to entertain their fans at gigs and festivals but this was actually Sarah’s first headline tour of the UK! I went along to her Manchester date

Interview with hit songwriter Natalie Hemby!
Hello! Three years ago I had the pleasure of going to Nashville for the very first time to a songwriters festival called Tin Pan South. I saw some incredibly talented songwriters, 3 of which we went on to interview the year after - Barry Dean, Jessi Alexander and Brandy Clark. There was one writer in particular that blew me away and I have been dying to interview her ever since and that writer is Natalie Hemby! When I found out she was playing CMA Songwriters Series I was ove

Country 2 Country: Day 3!
Wow what a conclusion C2C 2018, day 3 was incredible. Sunday for me began at the indigo watching Irish Country singer Catherine McGrath. A large crowd had already formed and she talked about her upcoming album which is out in May and played songs from that as well as songs she’d already released like Talk of this Town which was a crowd favourite. I headed over to the town square to have a mooch around and caught a bit of Keywest’s set, it sounded great and again a decent size

C2C Day 2!
Today may have been one of the best days of my life! There’s so much to talk about. My day began at the Indigo where Levi Hummon opened the BBC Radio 2 Stage. The Queue was rather long at 9.30am an hour before he was due on stage. He’s obviously the son of the very talented hit songwriter Marcus Hummon and he has his dad’s Songwriting talent. His lyrics are really good and he seemed to be enjoying himself as did the crowd, some of whom had beers in hand just after 10am, I’m n

Country 2 Country Day 1!
I’m struggling to find the words to sum up the first day of C2C 2018! It doesn’t get much better than that does it? My day began (after I’d checked out the signed CDs) at The Shires album playback. I’m not sure how much I’m allowed to tell you but from the four or five songs they played to us album three is shaping up to be a belter! I know they have already had quite a lot of success but I really think Accidentally on Purpose may make them a household name in the UK and acro

CMA Songwriters Series kicks country weekend off in style!
Wow! CMA Songwriters was incredible, dare I say, one of the best ones we’ve seen yet! We always knew we were going to be in for a treat with this stellar line up but the talent on that stage was incredible! Host Brett James introduced each writer before Luke Combs kick started the night. They did 5 rounds and once again it was a night filled with laughter. Luke played a lot of new songs that are not on his album including a song called Houston We’ve Got A Problem which he exp
