After a successful UK debut performance at Glastonbury festival last summer, Fanny Lumsden is returning for a nine date tour across the UK and Ireland in April.
The Australian country singer-songwriter grew up on a remote sheep farm in New South Wales and studied a degree in Rural Science.
She honed her craft touring Australia in a caravan playing shows in halls on her ongoing ‘Country Halls Tour’ with her husband Dan and brother Tom who are both part of the band.
She currently lives on a farm on the western side of the snowy mountains, about 6 hours from Sydney and 6 hours from Melbourne and often draws influence from these surroundings in her music.
Her latest album, 'Hey Dawn' sees Lumsden experiment with her sound a little more, incorporating indie-pop into her acoustic, country song writing.
Speaking of the record she said: “I wanted to have fun. I didn’t want to think too hard about it. I just wanted to feel.”
Lyrically, she looks inwardly as well as sharing the stories of those closest to her, while on the title track she learns to live in the moment more.
Lumsden will bring this latest collection of songs to life on her UK tour next month.
Previously, she’s toured with artists like Paul Kelly and Kasey Chambers, headlined sold-out theatre tours, played Americana Fest in Nashville, and been feted everywhere.
In her spare time, Lumsden is a volunteer firefighter and documentary filmmaker as well as being a mother of two!
Make sure to catch one of Lumsden's shows whilst she is over here!

This page feels really easy to hang out on—no clutter, no weird distractions, just the info you actually came for. I was skimming for like a minute and didn’t get lost because the paragraphs are short and the headings pop enough to guide your eyes. Somewhere in the middle I ended up clicking into Drift Boss and it loads you straight into the game vibe without making you jump through hoops. The one-button control idea is explained in a super quick way, which is nice because you can just try it and figure out the timing as you go. Also, the “How to Play” bit is set up like a clear little block, so you don’t have to hunt for…
